Heather joins the Hazelton community after travelling and practicing throughout Ontario, remote regions of Quebec, and the interior of British Columbia. She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Women’s Studies and completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Midwifery from Laurentian University in her hometown of Sudbury, Ontario.
Heather first came to Hazelton in 2023 as a locum midwife and was so taken by the community that she now calls it home. She feels deeply honoured to live and work on the unceded territory of the Gitxsan Nation and can often be found exploring the local trails and mountain slopes.

Raised in the small, close-knit farming community of Caroline, Alberta, Bayli developed a strong foundation early in life. After earning her Health Sciences degree in 2014, she pursued a Bachelor of Midwifery at Mount Royal University, where she discovered a deep-seated passion for rural midwifery. For the past several years, she has supported families in central Alberta and is now excited to provide care in the beautiful community of Hazelton, BC, where she looks forward to making a positive impact in the lives of the families and community she serves.
